On November 23 to 26, 2015, The Naval Information and Communication Technology Center (NICTC) of the Philippine Navy (PN) celebrated its first anniversary at Naval Base, Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Partners DelNet International Corp. representing Kelvin Hughes and Gilat was amongst the privileged guests in this exclusive event.
As part of the anniversary celebration, NICTC Deputy Commander, Lcdr. Ireneo Castillote PN and Lieutenant Nestor Caspillo Jr. PN invited selected technology partners as resource speakers for the ICT Update presented to Captain Rommel Anthony SD Reyes PN (GSC) Commander of NICTC with the rest of the PN key officers. Multiple NICTC partners laid out the latest best-in-class technology in communication equipment and devices relevant to the Naval Armed Forces, in which DelNet expounded on satellite communication and connectivity through Gilat VSAT solution. Mr. Edgar Beltran, AVP for Sales of DelNet said, “Communication is vital especially for the Naval Forces and we recognize the need of the PN for a robust and reliable connectivity, Gilat Sky-Edge II the market-leader in VSAT can deliver that.” Concluding the first ICT Update, Capt. Reyes said, “We are considering to conduct quarterly ICT updates.” He then looks forward to the solid support from the rest of their technology partners in this undertaking.

Subsequent to the successful forum was an exhibit. Several information and communication systems were showcased including Kelvin Hughes Sharp Eye Surveillance solutions, and Gilat VSAT powered live by PLDT. The exhibition was immediately followed by the anniversary ceremony attended by Military Officers from the AFP, and guest of honor, the Flag Officer in Command, Philippine Navy, VAdm. Caesar C.
